The gear is built around one job: turn small open-water bumps into glide.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Board<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A long, narrow board paddles up to speed fastest. Choose 90\u2013140 litres depending on your weight and skill; more volume is more stable while you learn.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Front wing<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Look for a span of 1,000\u20131,400 mm and an aspect ratio above 10. These wings take off slowly enough to catch a bump and glide far enough to reach the next one.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mast<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An 85\u201395 cm mast gives room for chop and swell.
