Every front wing in our catalog lists three numbers first: area, span and aspect ratio. Together they tell you most of what a wing will do on a pump session.
Area: how much lift
Area, in cm², sets how slowly you can fly. More area takes off earlier and forgives a slow pump. Most riders pump on 900–1,400 cm²; heavier riders and dock starts sit at the top of that range.
Span: how far it glides
Span, in mm, is the width tip to tip. A wider wing glides further between pumps and links bumps more easily, but turns wider.
Aspect ratio: efficiency
Aspect ratio is span squared divided by area. Wings around 8 are forgiving and easy to start on; 10–13 is where efficient pumping and long glides live, at the cost of a narrower sweet spot.
Use the catalog filters to narrow front wings by area, span and aspect ratio, then compare up to four side by side.
